LA RUTINA DIARIA

Using Reflexive verbs to talk about daily routines

Reflexive verbs are generally used to express daily routines since most of them are actions where the subject and the object are the same. e.g. I wash myself. In Spanish you use a ‘reflexive pronoun’ in place of myself. In the dictionary, the letters se on the end of the infinitive tell you it is a reflexive verb.

La Rutina de Paco

Normalmente me levanto a las siete, me ducho y me visto en mi habitación. Bajo a la cocina a las siete y media y preparo mi desayuno. Generalmente, desayuno cereal y un café con leche. Entonces voy al baño donde me lavo los dientes. Me peino y salgo de casa a las ocho y cuarto. Llego al instituto a las ocho y cincuenta.

Estudio en el instituto hasta las tres y cuarenta y voy a casa. Hago mis deberes al llegar a casa, como la merienda y miro un poco la televisión después de hacer mis deberes.

En casa, cenamos juntos a las siete. Mi comida favorita es pollo con papas y me encanta beber Coca-cola. Más tarde me relajo; escucho música en mi habitación y leo un libro.  Antes de acostarme, me lavo los dientes y la cara. Los días de colegio me acuesto a las diez y media.
